Jindra Markus
He has devoted his filmmaking to films that are "against the grain". This relates both to his films as well as to the films he participated in. The first film he was involved in (as a producer) was an experimental film (director Orlow Seunke) called 'Twisk' made with money from the experimental Knokke Filmfestival. Later on he produced the cum laude award film academy feature by the same director (Altijd Wat Zelden Wat Goeds). From that time on Jindra Markus developed himself working on 'big movies' as an assistant to world known director Paul Verhoeven on films like 'Soldier Of Orange', 'Spetters', 'The 4 th Man' and 'Flesh & Blood'. In between, he realized his own films as a director and sometimes director-producer. Most well known are the award winning short films like 'Icefree', 'Girl Of Stone' and 'The Lottery Ticket' all with musical scores by the young Pim de Bruyn-Kops, now member of 'De Dijk' one of the outstanding acts in the Netherlands.
